*Jenell's About to POP ~Baby Shower

Invites:

*Jenell is about to POP* So POP on over and help her get ready to welcome her new baby*
 Date, Address and RSVP info
with a blow pop in the middle-
These invites are not easily mailed, so they were hand delivered.

Food:
I had fun coming up with different food ideas with the word 'pop' in it. I finally decided on a Popcorn Bar (karmel, cheese, butter), pop tarts, blowpops, brownie pops, poppyseed muffins, and Soda pop for munchies while the guests were arriving and while playing games. For a fall, cold day I thought soup would be nice entree; chicken noodle soup and beer cheese soup- to put your popcorn in! A few more ideas that I didn't use are Popsicles, popcorn shrimp, popovers, and Jalapeno Poppers

Games:
We played 3 rounds of Baby Scattegories using Jenells initials "JLA". The point of the game is to fill out the category list with the answers beginning with that initial letter and a unique word in hopes that no one else would write down the same word to score points for correct answers.

The 2nd game was Baby Bingo, I handed out blank bingo cards and had everyone fill in the boxes with items you thought Jenell would get as a gift. As she was opening and she got a gift that you had entered in your bingo box you cross it off. First one to get BINGO gets a prize.  This is a nice game for shy mom's to be.

And of Course you want to see the Little Guy we were waiting for....

*Becky's Bedtime Story Baby Shower

BEDTIME STORY...
Children's books are always in need with a new little munchkin on the way- so instead of giving a card with your gift that most people throw away I asked guests to get a book and sign that for the new baby and stock the book shelf at the same time. On the Back of the Invite there was this cute little poem:

Although cards are nice
They're read once or twice
A book is a treasure
Forever and Forever
So instead of a card
to be put aside
Please give Baby Neubauer
a book with your name inside
It will be read to the little tyke
Before bed each night
And they will thank you
Forever and Forever!

I turned the table into a bed, by just throwing a sheet, pillows and a teddy bear on top!

For Food:
I kept it simple with soups, salads, sandwiches, and of course cake and mimosas
Becky decorated the nursery with animals- so I tied that in with the cake

For games:

we decorated onesies- they turned out super cute!

 who is that celebrity baby-
I had found pictures of celebrity babies and had the guests guess who they were

And the girl who this was all for:
